WEA´s History and Values

WEA nació en Mayo de 2012 en San Sebastián de los Reyes, inicialmente como escuela presencial y durante los últimos años desde COVID reconvertida a la versión Online, pero con la misma firme vocación y claro propósito de ayudar al máximo número de personas posible en su camino hacia el aprendizaje de la lengua que habla el mundo, el inglés.

WEA was born in May 2012 in San Sebastián de los Reyes, initially as a regular school and during the last few years since COVID resctructured to the Online version, but with the same sound vocation and clear goal to help as many people as possible in their path to learning the language the World speaks, English.

1st. CONFIANZA/TRUST

Are you willing to trust me? (¿Estás dispuesto a confiar en mí?)

La confianza depositada en mi y en mi método de enseñanza por parte de mis alumnos así como los resultados obtenidos en los distintos cursos y clases de inglés durante la ya larga vida de la academia, me dan la confianza necesaria para constatar que sí es posible mejorar notablemente en la utilización y comprensión de este idioma sin tener que vivir unos meses al extranjero. No se llegará al nivel de bilingüe a no ser que respiremos inglés todos los días, pero sí que nos acercaremos lo suficiente para que se pueda trabajar y operar en inglés de una manera eficiente y satisfactoria.

The trust placed in me by and my teaching method by my students as well as the results obtained in the different English courses and classes during the now long life of the academy, provide me with the necessary confidence to state that it is indeed possible to notably improve the usage and understanding of this language without having to live abroad for a few months. We will not reach a bilingual level unless we breathe English every day, but we will get close enough to be able to work and operate in English in an efficient and fulfilling way.

2nd. HONESTIDAD/HONESTY

Make the best of your time and money. (Aprovecha al máximo tu tiempo y tu dinero.)

Por mi forma de ser y los valores que mis padres me inculcaron, si no pudiese ofrecerte algo que realmente fuese beneficioso para ti, directamente no te lo ofrecería, ahorrándote tiempo y dinero. Solo os ofreceré clases y cursos que honestamente os pueden ayudar muchísimo a cumplir vuestros objetivos con el inglés.

Due to the way I am and the values my parents taught me, if I couldn´t offer you something I truly believed would be benefitial for you, I just wouldn´t, saving you time and money. I will only offer you classes and courses which in full honesty can help you tremendously to reach your goals regarding English.

3rd. MÉTODO/METHOD

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. (Más vale pájaro en mano, que ciento volando.)

En los cursos de inglés WEA no se dan peces a los alumnos, se les dan cañas de pescar, es decir, no baso mi método en enseñar palabras sueltas o traducciones sin más, sino en enseñar las estructuras necesarias y vitales para la comunicación de ideas y aplicables a todo el idioma, así como enseñar la lógica aplicada tras cada una de ellas, y siempre puliendo la correcta pronunciación, ya no para que nos entiendan, sino para entenderles mejor a ellos y de ese modo, poder aprender más rápido. Porque hablar inglés está bien, pero hablarlo bien, abre un mundo de posibilidades.

In WEA ´ s English courses I don´t give fish to my students, I give them fishing rods, in other words, I don´t base my method on teaching random words or mere translations, but on teaching the necessary and vital structures for the communication of ideas applicable to the whole language, as well as teaching the applied logic behind each one of them, and always polishing a correct pronunciation, not just for them to understand us, but for us to understand them better and thus be able to learn faster. Because speaking English is ok, but speaking it well, opens a world of possibilities.

Por último, reiterar una vez más mi compromiso por ofrecer a todas las personas que se interesen por aprender inglés, mi mejor trato, saber hacer, atención y ganas de ayudaros a lograr vuestros objetivos en el menor tiempo posible.
